Joe Thorn’s church in Chicago (Redeemer Fellowship) has started a Theology Pub where Christians and non-Christians can come together and converse honestly about spirituality. Lord willing, this gathering, and others like it, will reach those who don’t know Jesus in a very relevant, non-intimidating way.

Wait a minute? Did you say pub? don’t they have beer at pubs? That doesn’t sound very religious to me? (sarcasm added).

They do serve beer there. Scandalous, huh? But according to Thorn they serve water and Coke too. ;)

Bob Thune Jr. at Coram Deo in Omaha was doing the same thing. Not sure if it’s still going on or not. They recorded it and I was able to listen to some of the nights. Really enjoyed them.
